Working With the Best Clients and Collaborators

The Client Perspective

"Neil is an impressive young person with an admirable passion for improving young people's financial literacy. We have been incredibly lucky to have him share that talent through our summer kids workshop series here at the Aurora Financial Empowerment Center, giving kids an opportunity to learn to build their skills at an appropriate level while their parents attend our regular workshops. His depth and breadth of knowledge are readily translated into age-appropriate lessons that meet young people where they are and build their confidence and awareness in and of finances."

Making a Difference: Team Member Reflections

Abby May - Fundraising Coordinator_edite

ABBY

Working with The Finance Compass has helped me build my fundraising skills and understand financial literacy in a way that connects to my goals. I’ve learned to think more strategically about money, which has made me better at both fundraising and planning for the future. This experience has given me more confidence in managing resources and making decisions that will set me up for success.

OJAS

Working with The Finance Compass has been a great opportunity for me to learn valuable skills such as collaborating with a team, time management, and public speaking from my work as a Program Coordinator. The Finance Compass has allowed me to make a tangible impact in my community by spreading financial literacy, and I am extremely grateful to the organization for bringing me closer to my goal of becoming a professional in the field of finance.

Working with the Finance Compass has really changed the way I communicate. Whether it’s with kids in the U.S. or students from countries all over the world, I’ve been able to become a more concise and confident speaker. It has also been great working with Neil and the others---everyone is super flexible and open to new ideas for curriculum/lesson plans. I definitely wouldn’t change a thing about my experience with The Finance Compass so far!

GRACE

Financial literacy is a critical life skill.
